Abner Figueroa is the managing principal of Five Boro Multifamily, LLC a real estate investment firm focused on acquiring multifamily properties to serve middle market renters throughout New York City. As a local owner/operator, his experience includes renovating and improving multifamily properties in NYC as well as creating a value-added approach to residential property management designed to consistently improve financial performance.

Abner has over 20 years of real estate investing and capital markets execution experience that includes over $25 Billion dollars of residential mortgage securitizations and the acquisition of over $6 Billion of residential mortgage loans.

His career as an analyst, investment banker, consultant, and principal investor includes residential real estate asset valuation, property management, the pricing and sizing of real estate credit risk, extensive due diligence of real estate asset portfolios, as well as an end to end workout of a $20B distressed residential mortgage portfolio.

Providing institutional style discipline around pricing, due diligence, property and risk management is Abner’s value-added proposition. Executing this strategy has allowed him over the last 5 years to increase the Net Operating Income by 100% on his current $10mm portfolio. Abner attended Columbia Business School for his MBA and received a BBA in Finance from The University of Notre Dame.
